How It Started
In late 2023, Google's Helpful Content Update hit. And kept hitting. In private Slack groups and publisher forums, the same conversations kept happening: traffic down 40, 60, sometimes 90 percent. Overnight.
A few of us (bloggers, niche site owners, people running real content businesses) started talking. Not about what went wrong, but about what had actually changed.
The answer was clear: Google wasn't just ranking differently. It was answering differently. AI Overviews, featured snippets, zero-click results. Google, ChatGPT, and Perplexity were extracting answers directly from content. And most articles weren't structured for that.
So we brought in SEO specialists and AI engineers, and started building a tool that does one thing well: optimize existing articles so they become the source AI cites.
